A couple of new shirts of African nations have been released by Puma recently, some of them just in time for the upcoming 2012 Africa Cup of Nations co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The most successful team and current cup holders Egypt didn’t qualify but that didn’t stop Puma from releasing a new shirt for them. From the bunch, my personal favourite is Gabon’s. Here they are:

Puma released the 12-13 Italy home kit & shirt during the previous weeks. It made its debut during Italy’s friendly home defeat to Uruguay, 0-1, and it will be worn by the team during Euro 2012. The shirt features a white collar with strips representing the Italian flag, the four stars representing Italy’s four World Cup wins as well as some embossed graphics which it could do without if you ask me. You can buy it from Kitbag and UKSoccerShop. Here are the most important kit items:

Puma Mexico Finale is another special edition of soccer boots from Puma. If follows the Puma Diego Finale soccer boots from the Puma King Finale range and it was made to celebrate the 1986 Mexico World Cup. Puma King Finale I Firm Ground Football Boots
Redesigned for a whole new generation with an even softer and more comfortable ultra-thin K- leather upper for enhanced ball feel and worn by Everton’s Mikel Arteta, the new Puma King Finale is crowned.
Designed to provide a cleaner kicking area, the new Puma King Finale tongue improves pressure distribution upon impact with the ball.
Constructed from a thinner, softer K- leather, the tongue is secured firmly in place courtesy of an integrated velcro fastening.
Reinforced tight-row vamp stitching on the King Finale helps avoid excessive stretching of the K-leather for improved longevity and better overall shape retention.
Engineered from a high-density silicon, the new heel counter provides more protection and stability while the soft leather heel tap increases comfort and reduces pressure on the achilles tendon.
Increased cushioning under the heel, via a memory foam insert in the anatomically shaped sockliner, improves shock absorption, working in unison with the redesigned heel counter for enhanced comfort.
The King Finale utilizes the Puma AptoLast which conforms to the natural contours of the foot for a superb, snug fit.
A lightweight high performance thermoplastic elastomer injected outsole with conical moulded stud configuration ensures optimal stability, pressure distribution and maneuverability on firm natural surfaces.

FLARES ARE JUST BIRTHDAY CANDLES YOU CAN’T BLOW OUT
As their most iconic player prepares to celebrate his 50th birthday, Puma is marking the occasion with the launch of the King Diego Finale, dedicated to one of the greatest footballers ever to have played the game.
Decorated in the colours of La Albiceleste with the iconic number and signature of the one and only Diego Armando Maradona, the new King Finale is inspired by the design of Puma’s classic 1986 Mexico Finale boot with an even softer and more comfortable ultra-thin K- leather upper for enhanced ball feel and a whole host of refinements.

Both the 10-11 Tottenham home kit & shirt as well as the 10-11 Tottenham away kit & shirt are out. They are made by Puma and they feature a clean and simple design. I reckon it’s a tad more original than most Nike/Adidas kits. The bad news is that the release dates are September 24th 2010 for the home kit & shirt and October 2nd 2010 for the away kit and shirt so if you order now you’ll have to wait until then for your order to get shipped. In the meantime, here are the most important kit items:
